Grandparents Day – Beach Fun – Grandparents and Grand Parents join Nipper fun

Provide a family fun day at the beach for grandparents and supportive adults of junior lifesavers, also known as “nippers” (aged 5-13 years old). Nippers will demonstrate some of their beach and surf skills.

Opportunities for participation in gentle physical exercise, competitions and exchanges of knowledge on safety, like identifying rips, managing beach conditions and emergency situations.

The event aim is to connect or reconnect older generations with their local surf lifesaving club and it’s comradery and support networks, as well as celebrate the active participation of senior members of the surf lifesaving club.

Information will be provided on various roles for adults (of any age) to engage and get involved in club activities.
