Seniors Month Art Workshop: Pen & Wash Watercolour

Join one of our still life art workshops to indulge in the connection of food and art.

Learn a new skill and connect through sharing recipes with a series of workshops hosted by Bundaberg Art Society Inc workshops, proudly supported by Bundaberg Regional Council.

Sharing recipes is a connection people have had for centuries. With one another as family, friends and even community.

Food has the capacity to bring us together. It is familiar, relational, and cultural. The Art of Good Food: Arts Workshops, celebrates Seniors Month, inviting seniors to join us on a culinary journey, to share their delicious heritage, traversing food memories, family recipes, cookery, and history. As our journey unfolds, you will learn more about each other, develop artistic skills and uncover how our food landscapes connect each of us to the past, the present, and to one another.

Share a recipe and be inspired under professional arts tuition, to create an artwork that celebrates a special ingredient from your chosen recipe. Instructors will share their still life visual art tuition over a two-hour specialised workshop.

Workshops will run each Wednesday of October and specialise in introductory classes covering sketching, pastels, watercolour and advanced printmaking.

Funded by Queensland Government and supported by COTA Queensland.
