Spend a Day with U3A

Senior’s Day at U3A. U3A has classes in Toowoomba, Pittsworth and Crows Nest.

Join us for a special day to discover what U3A has to offer. You will have the opportunity to take part in 4 classes: Learn about Ancient Egypt and Mummification, take part in Circle Dancing or act out a part in the Shakespeare Class. Join the Intermediate Guitar class, listen or play.

We are also presenting the opportunity to listen to 4 outstanding and interesting speakers. At 11am our Keynote speaker is Prof. Nancy Pachana, from the University of Queensland. A dynamic speaker who shares interesting stories, 12 noon Haidee Janetzki, President of The Toowoomba Philharmonic Society- get to sing a song or two!, 1pm Jenna Buckley, TRC Disaster Management and Rural Fire Service to answer those difficult questions in times of fire and flood, 2pm Graham Blackman who will delight the audience untold stories of Australian History – ‘Australian Exceptionalism’.
