Free intergenerational fun on the bowling green at Jubilee Bowls Club during Seniors Month.

Warm up with some gentle exercises before trying the basics of lawn bowls.

Bowls is a very social activity so we encourage carers to organise for their clients to come and join us for the afternoon.

Through this activity during Queensland Seniors Month we want to give families and friends the opportunity to experience bowls – the game for all ages. Is bowls an old person’s game enjoyed by young people? Or a young person’s game played by older people?

So, we hope that we might see three generations all on the green at the same time – after the invitation has been issued from either end of the age scale. So grandparents can invite their children and grandchildren, or school students who have recently enjoyed time on the bowling green can invite their parents/grandparents.

And the afternoon will conclude with afternoon tea and a cuppa.
