Bowls & Beginners: Fun, Friends and Lunch! Celebrate Seniors Week with Far North Queensland Dementia Alliance

Gather your friend and come together for a joyful day of connection, celebration, and learning at the Edge Hill Bowls Club as we mark Seniors Week with the Far North Queensland Dementia Alliance! Proudly sponsored by the Queensland Government, this special event welcomes over 65s and especially encourages you to bring along a friend— someone brand new to the game.
Start the day at 9am with a lively but light-hearted game of bowls, paired with your friend for extra fun on the greens. Enjoy a delightful morning tea, then discover how you can become a Dementia Friend and gain valuable insights into dementia and the inspiring initiatives of the Alliance.

Afterwards, savour a delicious lunch and share laughter and good company. The day concludes at 2pm, with a chance to win some fabulous prizes!
Best of all, the event is completely free. Share the experience with your friend, make new connections, and help foster a more dementia-friendly community while enjoying great food, fun activities, and memorable moments.
